LOVE CONNECTION by Amber Goldhammer

Dallas Gallery | May 5th - June 5th | 2022

Amber Goldhammer is best known for creating vibrant abstract paintings with a street art edge. Love and joy are paramount emotions in life, and in her series, Amber incorporates her iconic "I Love You" message.

Goldhammer believes art has the ability to impact lives as people feel, in her works, a sense of joy and love. For Amber, painting happens at the moment as a union between her, the canvas, and the paint. There is no analyzing, conceptualizing, or judging in her process. This year Amber Goldhammer was invited to submit a work of art for a live auction at the Cotēs du Coeur gala benefiting the American Heart Association on April 30th. This invitation prompted Amber to expand her art practice and integrate a few of her processes into one outstanding piece. These explorations culminated in a whole new body of work where Amber paints on wood panels, incorporates aluminum and mirror cutouts, and uses LED and neon lighting as the protagonist to carry her message.

“LOVE CONNECTION is inspired by relationships and the bond we share with those we encounter. Whether a friend, a family member, yourself, or a lover, three words spoken is an imprint that lasts forever. I Love You. A connection is never forgotten. For this reason, I have created artworks that form a connected relationship with their three-dimensional additions; a blissful bond that is not only seen but felt deeply by the viewer." —Amber Goldhammer

Goldhammer's artworks have also been exhibited at major international art fairs. She is a worldwide collected young artist with ongoing concurrent exhibitions in galleries throughout the United States and Switzerland. Her original paintings have been showcased in print and online publications and on such TV series as Million Dollar Listing, Being Mary Jane, The Catch, and both multi-Emmy nominated series, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Scandal. Goldhammer's art is also featured on Netflix's original series, Glow, by Weeds creator Jenji Kohan.

LOVE CONNECTION is Goldhammer’s second solo show at the Christopher Martin Gallery. The exhibition is presented in their Dallas 10,000 sqft. facility in conjunction with the following concurrent exhibitions: SPRING RENEWAL, featuring the hyper-realistic photo collages of Ysabel Lemay and romantic paintings of Liz Barber; STORM CHASING, new black & white series by photographer Steve Wrubel; PANTHERA, recent works by Chris Martin & Paul Bloch; and a group show of gallery artists.
